Historic and Heritage Features:

  • Dundonald Park named after Douglas Cochrane, 12th Earl of Dundonald received its current name in 1904.
  • Memorial plaques were put up by The City of Ottawa in Dundonald Park commemorating the Soviet defector, Igor Gouzenko.

Development:

  • Dundonald Park Playground Improvements
    Improvements are being planned for the Dundonald Park playground area in 2016. These will include a wheelchair accessible entrance from the west (Bay Street) side of the playground along with an accessible swing, wall climber and playhouse.
  • CCHC & 8-80 Cities recommends three phases for the park’s transformation – ‘Make a Place for People’
