Historic or Heritage Features:
- In 1887, the Western Fair Association built exhibition buildings on Queen’s Park, the main building was a glass structure entitled, The Crystal Palace. Unfortunately, it was later lost in a 1927 fire. Its replacement: The Confederation Building began as a place for local merchants to sell a diversity of products – and is now home to the Western Fair Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market.
